In 2011 I wrote a chapbook of poetry that I’ve not managed to surpass creatively, at least not with anything that rhymed. Poetry, for me, occurred at an oft-romanticised time of my life when I was in my early twenties, living in a big city, falling in love and having all the feelings. Maybe that’s why it came so naturally that I found myself “thinking rhythmically”. Nowadays it’s more like I think in 250 characters.
